Volunteer efforts and donated funds are making the Warfield Village Square a reality
|
The Warfield Village Square committee was formed to set up the revitalization of an exsisting rundown tennis court at the Village of Warfields community hall near Trail, British Columbia, Canada.The Warfield Village square is located near the village center with all amenities conducive to family oriented activites.With its park like setting it will be a gathering point for young and old alike, and a tremendous asset to the community.The entire complex, including the community center as well as the park area will also be availabe for group gatherings such as weddings, reunions and social club functions.

We are currently about 80% completed in the park with only the B-B-Q area,wiring,and equipment installation to finish.Hopefully, the park will be ready for its grand opening in June's Warfield'S Sports Day. To date, West Kootenay Power, The Vancouver Foundation, Kootenay Savings Credit Union and The Village of Warfield are the major corporate sponsors.The Warfield Village Square committee has also been fundraising by having raffles, dances, garage sales, bake sales, and car washes.Citizen cash donations have also been a great asset to the fundraising effort.

The completed Warfield Village Square will consist of: 2 bocci pits 2 horseshoe pits childrens play area barbeque pits covered picnic area general park setting exsisting community hallThe entire Warfield Village Square will be securely surrounded by fencing allowing a safe play area for the children.If you would like to participate in the project, whether it be financially or by donating your time, please email us at the address below.Your suggestions or comments would be greatly apprectiated.
